"Viny Asana" - a CottonYoga workshop
Asana is a Sanskrit term which is often translated as “posture” or “pose.”
When we practice a Vinyasa style of yoga - flowing through a sequence of postures linking movement with breath, the pace often means that we are not able to break down the postures or the transitions into more details.
Upcoming workshops
These workshops will look at some of the most common postures I incorporate into my flows in more detail.
To look in more depth at alignment options that work best for you and your individual body so that you feel steady and at ease.
To look at how you might be able to transition through sequences with more grace in order to help you develop a more fluid practice.
We will also spend a little time breaking down THE Vinyasa to look at the different options in detail.
(the short sequence from plank - lower - to back-bend into down-dog)
This workshop will also include Pranayama (breath-work practice), a sequence that will enable you to put your learning into practice and a delicious extended Savasana to finish.
